Can people with cerebral palsy have children? Should they?!

Having a child is one of the most important steps in any adult's life and one of the greatest physical challenges a woman will face.

Having a child when you have a complex disability such as cerebral palsy is an even greater test.

Yet instead of being encouraged, future parents with CP often face prejudice about their capacity to be good parents or structural barriers that make it more difficult.

This online event brought together the insights of a researcher and parents - both current and future - with CP from different parts of the world to shine a light on the issues facing persons with CP who want to have a child and the hurdles they must overcome.

The event was organised by the ICPS Working Group on Adults with CP in cooperation with Cerebral Palsy Europe (CP-ECA).
