Status and Role of Formal and Informal Carers
Many persons with cerebral palsy rely on a carer to assist them with daily life tasks. This may be a person in a formal, professional role or it may be an informal caregiver such as a family member or friend. The recognition and status of carers varies widely in different countries around the world.
This online event highlighted the important role of carers in enabling persons with CP to live with dignity and compared different models for ensuring that carers receive the respect and support that they deserve.
