#COSP19 x #InternationalDayofPlay
Join us for a COSP19 side event marking the International Day of Play and exploring how accessible and inclusive play can support early childhood development, strengthen early intervention, and build more inclusive societies.
The event will bring together government, UNICEF, civil society, clinical, recreational, policy, and lived-experience perspectives to show why play is not a luxury, but a right—and a foundation for confidence, participation, resilience, and belonging.
Date: Wednesday, June 10, 2026
Time: 3:00 – 4:15 PM EDT (19:00 – 20:15 UTC/GMT)
Venue: UNICEF House, 3 UN Plaza, 44th Street (between 1st and 2nd Ave), New York City
Organized by the Government of Luxembourg, UNICEF, the International Cerebral Palsy Society, Cerebral Palsy Foundation and Special Olympics, with support from Gillette Children's.
The event will include high-level remarks, a short video, a moderated panel discussion, audience Q&A, and practical policy messages for advancing inclusive play within CRPD implementation.
